At Clarity Equine, we believe that confident riders are safe riders.Our Ride Safe Clinic is designed to empower equestrians of all ages with the knowledge and practical skills to stay safe, think clearly, and respond effectively in any situation — both in and out of the saddle.Join In on a Ride Safe Clinic - Whether you’re a new rider, a seasoned equestrian, or a facility owner looking to strengthen your safety practices, our Ride Safe Clinic is for you. Join in on a clinic at Clarity Equine, or invite us to host one at your barn or facility. Learn, practice, and build confidence in a supportive, hands-on environment.
Upon completion, each participant receives an official Certificate of Participation.
Riders Aged 12 and Under (The Junior Safety Squad)
Riders Aged 13 and Up
This program transforms safety into a fun, confidence-building adventure! Through interactive learning and lots of role-play, young riders master essential skills: they learn exactly how their helmet works and how to ensure it fits securely, practice numerous safe falling techniques, build skills for quickly recognizing the "ouchies," and gain confidence in what to do if you or someone is hurt in the barn or ring.
This advanced program is designed for the maturing rider, focusing on taking ownership of personal safety and effective risk management. The curriculum provides in-depth information on the biomechanics of injury, complex concussion protocols, and how to swiftly and correctly activate an Emergency Action Plan (EAP) when a crisis occurs. We include hands-on training and practice for safe falling techniques, covering advanced symptom recognition, post-injury action, and practical risk reduction strategies both in the barn and in the saddle.
What We Offer
Core Safety Education
Our clinic is a comprehensive, hands-on program designed by equine professionals with a focus on real-world application. We cover critical aspects of rider and barn safety:
Helmet Fitting and Safety:
Learn the right way to wear a helmet. We provide professional fitting guidance to ensure maximum protection, covering topics like replacement timelines, certification standards, and how a helmet should sit on your head.
Concussion Awareness:
Understand what a concussion is, the risks involved in equestrian sports, and the latest protocols for managing head injuries.
Signs and Symptoms: Recognize the subtle and obvious signs of a potential concussion or injury in yourself and others. We provide practical tools for immediate assessment.
Emergency Action Plan (EAP) Development: Get expert help in creating or refining your barn or facility’s Emergency Action Plan. A clear EAP is vital for a coordinated and rapid response during an emergency.
Safe Falling Techniques:
While no one wants to fall, learning proper falling mechanics can significantly reduce the risk of serious injury. Our unique session teaches techniques to safely disengage from the horse and protect your head, neck, and joints.
Certificate of Participation:
Every rider who completes the clinic will receive an official Certificate of Participation from Clarity Equine.
