Riding Programs at Clarity Equine
From first connections to confident riding, our programs support each rider’s pace, goals, and relationship with the horse.
Many of our programs operate with limited spaces and are often full. We maintain an active waitlist and regularly place riders as availability changes, schedules shift, and new program blocks begin.
If you’re interested, we encourage you to reach out — joining the waitlist helps us understand demand and recommend the best pathway when space becomes available.

Choose Your Pathway
-

Pathway 1: Start with Riding Foundations
Best for: new riders, nervous riders, returning riders, existing riders who want to better understand horses
Riding Foundations brings together the early skills that often take many lessons to learn—grooming, safe leading, body language, behavior, steering concepts, and barn confidence—so riding feels clearer and more comfortable. -

Pathway 2: Start with a Private Lesson
Best for: riders with experience, goal-focused riders, returning riders who want an assessment.
Private lessons are a great way to assess comfort level, establish goals, and determine the best fit for horses, coaching, and next steps—before joining a group environment. -

Pathway 3: Transition into Group Learning
Best for: riders who have completed Foundations or have been assessed privately.
Once riders have the core foundations and are confident in safety, steering basics, and communication, small group lessons become a fun way to build consistency, confidence, and community.
Riding Options By Age
Tiny Tots (5 & Under)
Our Tiny Tots program is designed around the individual child. Sessions may include riding, hands-on horse care, simple book or learning activities, helping with small barn chores, and spending time meeting the animals — depending on the child’s comfort, curiosity, and energy that day.
Rather than following a rigid lesson structure, we meet children where they are and support positive first experiences with horses and the farm environment.
Each child’s pathway is individualized. Some children focus on comfort around horses, while others gradually build confidence with handling, riding, and early independence.
The focus is on confidence, safety, early communication, and building a calm relationship with horses at a pace that feels successful for each child.
Child & Youth Lessons
Our child and youth riding programs support riders as they develop skills, independence, and confidence with horses over time.
Lessons blend mounted learning with horsemanship so riders understand not just how to ride, but how to communicate, care for, and partner with the horse. Sessions may include riding, grooming, handling, groundwork, and age-appropriate barn responsibilities.
Each rider’s pathway is individualized. Some riders move steadily through skill development, while others benefit from time strengthening foundations, building confidence, or exploring different aspects of horsemanship.
The focus is on clear communication, safety, and developing thoughtful riders who understand the horse as a partner.
Adult Riding Lessons
Adult riders are welcomed at every stage — whether starting for the first time, returning after time away, or continuing to build skills.
Lessons combine riding with horsemanship so participants develop confidence, understanding, and clear communication with the horse. Sessions may include groundwork, grooming, skill development, and mounted learning, allowing adults to build comfort alongside riding ability.
Each rider’s pathway is individualized. Some adults focus on foundational confidence, while others work on refining skills, rebuilding after a break, or exploring new areas of learning.
The focus is on safety, communication, and creating a supportive learning environment where curiosity and growth are encouraged.
Start Here: Riding Foundations
Many riders begin with Riding Foundations to build confidence, safety awareness, and practical horsemanship skills before moving into mounted learning.
This program supports new riders, returning riders, and those transitioning from other barns by providing a shared understanding that makes private and group learning more successful.
Riding opportunities are offered in different formats depending on readiness, goals, and program availability.
Learning Formats
Private Lessons
Individualized instruction focused on the rider’s goals, pace, and confidence.
Small Group Programs
Collaborative learning that builds independence, awareness, and community while developing riding skills.
Not Sure Where to Start?
New riders are encouraged to begin with a Clarity Equine Planning Session so we can understand goals, experience, and recommend the best pathway. This helps ensure riders are placed in an environment where they feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
