All About Horses Program
An 8-week, all-on-the-ground program for kids who want to learn how horses think, live, and communicate. A great entry point into riding lessons, or a perfect fit for horse-loving kids who simply want to learn. It all begins with an idea.
-
All About Horses is a structured, non-riding program designed for those who want to understand the why behind the horse. Over eight weeks, participants build a comprehensive foundation of horsemanship, safety, and equine behavior.
This program serves as the essential first step before entering a riding program, or as a stand-alone course for those who want to master the art of ground-based connection. By removing the pressure of riding, we allow students to focus entirely on the communication and care that happens before a foot ever touches a stirrup.
The 8-Week Curriculum:
Safety & Handling: Mastering the "rules of the barn" and safe leading techniques.
Equine Language: Learning to read subtle body language and "ear talk."
Comprehensive Care: Daily health checks, grooming, and nutritional basics.
Barn Literacy: Understanding tack, equipment, and the mechanics of a working stable.
Why Start Here? Riding is only one small part of being a horseperson. This program ensures that when a student eventually steps into the saddle, they do so with a calm mind and a deep understanding of their equine partner.
