Riding Lessons

At Clarity Equine, we believe learning begins with connection. We strive to build a strong foundation of trust and partnership between horse and rider, creating a space where confidence can grow naturally. Through patience, guidance, and meaningful experiences, riders develop not only skills in the saddle, but also confidence in themselves — leading to clarity in communication, understanding, and horsemanship.

We offer riding lessons for all ages in a safe, supportive, and confidence-building environment.

Riding Pathways

  • Our Tiny Tots program is designed for young children who are beginning their journey with horses in a gentle, supportive, and child-led environment. Sessions are approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the child’s age, attention span, comfort level, and interests that day.

At Clarity Equine, we believe learning begins with connection. In our Tiny Tots sessions, we focus on helping children build confidence, curiosity, and comfort around horses before placing pressure on riding skills or structure. Every child is different, and we honour that by allowing the child to help guide the experience.

    Sessions may include:

    • Grooming and hands-on horse care

    • Learning basic barn safety

    • Crafts and horse-themed activities

    • Helping with simple barn chores

    • Spending time with the animals

    • Leading and groundwork activities

    • Riding, if and when the child is ready

Our goal is to create positive early experiences that help children develop confidence, independence, kindness, and a genuine connection with horses.

  • Private riding lessons are one-on-one, 1-hour coaching sessions tailored to the individual rider. These lessons are ideal for riders wanting personalized instruction, focused skill development, increased confidence, or support working toward specific riding goals.

Lessons are designed around the rider’s current skill level, learning style, and goals while maintaining a strong focus on safety, horsemanship, and partnership with the horse. We believe true progress comes from understanding the horse, building trust, and developing confidence both on the ground and in the saddle.

    Private lessons may include:

    • Grooming and tacking up

    • Horsemanship and horse care

    • Riding instruction

    • Groundwork and communication exercises

    • Rider position and balance

    • Confidence building

    • Pattern work, obstacles, or discipline-specific skills

    • Untacking and post-ride horse care

Whether a rider is completely new to horses or looking to continue advancing their skills, lessons are designed to meet the rider where they are while encouraging growth, confidence, and clarity in communication with the horse.

  • Group riding lessons are designed for riders who are ready to learn alongside others in a supportive and structured environment. Groups typically consist of 2–3 riders and are carefully matched based on age, skill level, confidence, goals, and overall compatibility.

At Clarity Equine, we prioritize quality instruction and safety over large group sizes. Riders are not placed into group lessons immediately; they must first demonstrate certain foundational skills and independence to help ensure the group setting remains safe, productive, and enjoyable for everyone involved.

    Group lessons help riders:

    • Build confidence riding around others

    • Improve independence and responsibility

    • Develop communication and teamwork skills

    • Learn through observation and shared experiences

    • Continue developing horsemanship and riding skills in a supportive environment

    Lessons may include:

    • Grooming and tacking up

    • Arena lessons and exercises

    • Groundwork and horsemanship

    • Pattern work and obstacles

    • Group activities and challenges

    • Horse care and untacking

Our group lessons maintain a calm, encouraging atmosphere where riders can continue building connection, confidence, and clarity while learning alongside peers at a similar stage in their riding journey.

  • Many of our programs operate with limited spaces and are often full. We maintain an active waitlist and regularly place riders as availability changes, schedules shift, and new program blocks begin. If you’re interested, we encourage you to reach out — joining the waitlist helps us understand demand and recommend the best pathway when space becomes available.

At Clarity Equine, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to experience the confidence, connection, and growth that comes through sport.
