Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all programs, services, events, clinics, lessons, camps, workshops, and experiences offered by Clarity Equine ("Clarity Equine," "we," or "us"). By registering for, attending, or participating in any Clarity Equine offering, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following.

1. Registration & Payment

  • Registration is required to participate in any Clarity Equine program or service.

  • Spaces may be limited and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis unless otherwise stated.

  • Payment terms, pricing, and due dates will be communicated at the time of registration.

  • Participation may be refused or discontinued if payment obligations are not met.

2. Cancellations, Missed Sessions & Transfers

  • Due to limited availability, registrations are generally non-refundable unless otherwise specified.

  • If you are unable to attend a scheduled session, clinic, or event, transfer or reschedule options may be offered at the discretion of Clarity Equine.

  • Missed sessions, late cancellations, or no-shows are not eligible for credit or refund.

  • In the event Clarity Equine must cancel or reschedule due to weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances, reasonable efforts will be made to offer a reschedule or credit.

3. Program Format & Participation

  • Program formats vary and may include ground-based activities, mounted activities, observation, or discussion-based learning.

  • Not all programs involve riding.

  • Participants do not need to have their own horse unless explicitly stated.

  • Participation is choice-based. Observation is always a valid form of participation.

  • Participants are expected to follow all instructions, safety guidelines, and boundaries set by facilitators at all times.

4. Safety, Liability Waivers & Assumption of Risk

  • All participants and visitors are required to sign a liability waiver prior to participating in or being present for any Clarity Equine program, service, or activity.

  • Participation in equine-related activities involves inherent risk, including the possibility of injury to people or property.

  • By participating, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with being around horses, farm environments, and related activities.

  • Clarity Equine takes reasonable precautions to support safety but cannot eliminate all risk.

  • Participants agree to act responsibly and in a manner that prioritizes safety for themselves, others, and the horses.

5. Health, Medical Information & Personal Responsibility

  • Participants are responsible for assessing their own physical, emotional, and mental readiness to participate.

  • All riding lesson participants are required to complete a medical information form prior to participation. This information helps Clarity Equine support participant safety and wellbeing.

  • Medical information is used solely for program planning and safety purposes.

  • Any relevant medical, physical, or personal considerations that may impact participation should be communicated in advance.

  • Appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for a farm and equine environment are required.

6. Horse Welfare

  • Horse welfare is a priority across all Clarity Equine programs.

  • Interactions with horses are guided, respectful, and based on awareness, consent, and safety.

  • Any behaviour that compromises horse welfare or safety may result in removal from a program without refund.

7. Optional & Additional Services

  • Some programs may offer optional follow-up services such as private lessons, consults, or additional sessions.

  • These services are optional and booked separately unless otherwise stated.

  • Participation in one program does not obligate participants to book additional services.

8. Media & Photography

  • Photos or videos may be taken during programs for educational, documentation, or promotional purposes.

  • By participating, you consent to the use of such media unless you notify Clarity Equine in advance.

  • No photos or videos are taken during equine-assisted psychotherapy or therapy-related sessions, and confidentiality is respected at all times.

9. Conduct, Supervision & Expectations

  • Participants are expected to behave respectfully toward staff, volunteers, other participants, horses, and property.

  • Children and youth must be picked up promptly at the end of lessons, programs, or sessions unless otherwise arranged or explicitly invited to remain.

  • Clarity Equine is not responsible for supervision of children outside of scheduled program times.

  • Participants may not remain on the property before or after sessions without permission from staff.

  • Disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behaviour may result in removal from a program without refund.

  • Clarity Equine reserves the right to refuse participation when necessary to maintain safety and alignment with program values.

10. Lost or Stolen Items

  • Clarity Equine is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.

  • Participants are responsible for securing their own personal items while on the property.
