Equine Connection Sessions
Slow down. Connect. Enjoy time with horses.
You don’t need a riding goal or a specific reason to spend time with horses. Our Equine Connection Sessions offer a welcoming opportunity to step away from everyday demands, enjoy the farm, and connect with horses at your own pace.
Guided by Caitlin Heckbert, equine specialist and licensed riding coach, each session is shaped around your interests and comfort level. Your visit may include grooming, leading, learning about horse behaviour, or simply spending quiet time in the company of a horse.
No Horse Experience Needed
All activities take place on the ground—there is no riding involved. We’ll guide you through safe interactions, respecting your comfort level and the horses’ well-being.

What to Expect
-
We’ll meet you in the barnyard and welcome you to the farm. From there, we’ll introduce ourselves, show you where we’ll be spending time, and review a few safety guidelines. You’ll have time to ask questions and settle in before meeting the horses.
-
Activities may include grooming, leading, observing horse behaviour, or spending quiet time with a horse. We’ll guide you throughout your visit, adapting activities to participants’ comfort levels and the horses’ needs. All activities take place on the ground; no riding is involved.
-
No previous experience is needed. We’ll explain how to approach and interact with the horses safely. You’re welcome to begin by observing, and there is no pressure to touch or lead a horse.
-
Wear sturdy, closed-toe footwear—boots are recommended—and comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dusty. Dress in layers appropriate for the weather, as the indoor arena and barn can be cool. Please avoid sandals and open-toe shoes.
-
Each participant must complete a participant intake form and the applicable waiver. A parent or guardian must complete the required forms for participants under 18. Please review your booking confirmation for arrival details and any additional instructions.
-
Please contact us before booking to discuss accessibility, mobility, sensory needs, allergies, or concerns about being around horses. We’ll talk through the setting and possible arrangements so you can make an informed choice about participating.
-
Complimentary coffee and tea, along with access to our barn office, are included during your scheduled visit.
-
Please refer to the cancellation and rescheduling policy provided when booking. If you have questions or need assistance, contact us as soon as possible.
