CHECKLIST

Do any of these feel familiar?

If you’re nodding your head, you aren't just "tired." You are carrying the weight of compassion fatigue. This day is designed to help you set that weight down.

Caregiving—whether at home, in the clinic, or in the classroom—is a quiet marathon. We become so used to the weight that we forget what it feels like to stand up straight.

Why Horses for Caregivers?

Caregivers are often experts at hiding their exhaustion to stay strong for others. Horses, however, see through the "mask." As non-judgmental, highly sensitive animals, they respond to our true internal state.

By partnering with the herd, you are given a rare opportunity to:

  • Stop "Doing" and Start "Being": Horses don't care about your to-do list; they respond to your presence in the moment.

  • Practice Receiving: In the barn, the horse provides the support. You are allowed to be the one who is guided.

  • Find a Mirror: Horses reflect your nervous system, helping you identify exactly where you are holding tension and where you can finally let it go.

All activities are ground-based. No previous horse experience is required.

Logistics & Registration

  • A Small, Protected Group: To ensure a safe and meaningful experience, we limit registration to a small number of participants.

  • Preparation: Wear comfortable layers and sturdy, closed-toe footwear. Bring a journal and a bagged lunch.

  • Note: This workshop is wellness-focused and therapeutic in nature, but it is not a substitute for psychotherapy.
